Help with Firesighter.
Email support@firesighter.app with your macOS version, your Firesighter version (Firesighter › About Firesighter) and the exact error message. Please never send your key file: we'll never need it.
Getting started
- No key yet? Choose Try Sample Data on the first screen to explore a built-in sample database. It works offline.
- Connect to your own project with a service account key (JSON). In the Google Cloud console, open IAM & Admin › Service Accounts, give an account the
Cloud Datastore Viewerrole, then create a JSON key under Keys. In Firesighter, choose Add Connection… and pick the file. - Firesighter needs macOS 26 or later.
Common problems
- "Missing or insufficient permissions." The service account can't read Firestore. Give it the
Cloud Datastore Viewerrole in the project. - Only
(default)appears. The account can read data but not list databases. Add thedatastore.databases.listpermission to see named databases. - "The key file can't be found." The file was moved or deleted. Right-click the connection and choose Locate Key… to point it at the file again.
