Privacy policy
Firesighter collects no data.
Superb Meteor LLC makes Firesighter. We don't collect, store or share any information about you or your Firestore data. The app has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no accounts.
Your key files stay on your Mac
You choose a Google Cloud service account key file to connect. Firesighter remembers a read-only, sandboxed bookmark to that file and reads it when it connects. It never copies the private key, stores it elsewhere or sends it anywhere. It uses the key on your Mac to sign a short-lived token request.
The app talks only to Google
Firesighter's only network requests go to Google, using the key you chose:
oauth2.googleapis.com, to exchange the signed request for an access token;firestore.googleapis.com, to read your databases, collections and documents.
Those requests are covered by your agreement with Google Cloud. Firesighter only reads: it never creates, changes or deletes Firestore data. The built-in sample data works offline and makes no requests at all.
What's saved on your Mac
Your connection names, the bookmarks to your key files and the tabs you had open are saved in Firesighter's own preferences inside its sandbox, so they come back when you relaunch. They never leave your Mac. Removing a connection or deleting the app removes them.
The App Store and this website
Apple handles purchases and downloads under its own privacy policy. This website sets no cookies and has no analytics. It's hosted on GitHub Pages and loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so those services see the requests your browser makes to them.
